Privacy policy

Version 2026-10-18

Run Club, a volunteer group, runs this site.

The list belongs to joinkamala.com only. It is never sold, rented, given or moved to any other site or campaign without your separate opt-in.

We store your email, ZIP, which site you signed up for, when you agreed in UTC, the policy version you agreed to, the sign-up source (bridge or petition), and the time the row was written. If you sign the petition we also store your name, your optional reason, when you signed, when you agreed to petition email, and when you confirmed by email. For every email we send you we keep a copy of the message and its delivery status. If you unsubscribe, or your address bounces, or you report our mail as spam, we store when that happened and, for a bounce or a spam report, which of the two it was, so that we never email that address again.

No IP address or device information is stored with a sign-up. Sign-ups are sent over HTTPS.

Our hosting provider Vercel keeps standard request logs that include IP addresses and the addresses of the pages you open, including the confirmation and unsubscribe links from our emails. Our database provider Railway stores the list and keeps daily backups that expire within 7 days. Our email provider Resend receives your email address and the text of each message we send you in order to deliver it, keeps its own delivery records under its own retention policy, and tells us about bounces and complaints, which we use only to stop sending to that address.

No cookies, no analytics, and no ads. This site loads no third-party scripts or frames. Fonts are served from this site.

Voter links go to VoteAmerica (www.voteamerica.org). It runs its own analytics, is told the visit came from Run Club, and its own privacy policy applies there.

If you signed up on the bridge page, we use your email to tell you when the petition opens, and for nothing else unless you sign the petition. If you sign the petition, we email you a link to confirm your signature (a new one only if you sign again after your link expires) and afterwards only about this petition. We send that link from a short queue that holds your name, email, ZIP, reason, signing time, which site you signed on and the policy version you agreed to until your turn; if your signature is still waiting in that queue 7 days after you signed, our next cleanup run (at least daily) erases it without emailing you, and you can sign again. Once your turn comes, your signature is stored and the rules below for unconfirmed signatures apply even if sending is delayed; in the rare case that storing fails at your turn, we erase your queue entry without emailing you, and you can sign again. Every email has an unsubscribe link that works at once. Unsubscribing stops all email; your signature still counts.

The petition page shows only the number of confirmed signatures. Names, emails, ZIPs and reasons are never shown publicly.

We keep the list while this site runs. If you signed but never confirmed, we erase the unconfirmed signature (name, reason and signing time) 30 days after its confirmation link expires; your address stays only if you also signed up on the bridge page, or if you unsubscribed, your address bounced or you reported our mail, so that we never email it again. If Kamala Harris says no, or this site shuts down, we delete the list within 90 days.

To delete your record, write to hello@joinkamala.com from the address you signed up with. Your record, including any signature and our copies of email sent to you, is deleted within 7 days, and it leaves our backups when they expire. Our email provider keeps its own delivery records under its own retention policy.
